Dina Meyer was born at Forest Hills Queens New York. Just before finishing the junior high school, she moved to Queens and moved to Dix Hills Long Island. She has two younger siblings and a brother who is older. Her first exposure to the entertainment industry came when she did some modeling at the age of 9 to sixteen. Her career in acting began in The Neighborhood Playhouse, New York. She studied Sanford Meisner's techniques alongside Ron Stetson for three years. Other actors to receive such training are Sandra Bullock, Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum, Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton, among other people. Her first role was in Beverly Hills 90210 which forced her to make the move to Los Angeles. After a few months, she got the role of Johnny Mnemonic. For this film, she was the one responsible of almost every stunt and showed herself to be an experienced actor. The talent agent she worked with was also representing Matt LeBlanc so, through her agent, she was able to score a recurring role on Friends.
